During the winter ski Silverton Mountain's advanced and expert ski and snow board resort. Be sure to make reservations for the guided only skiing with a maximum of 40 people per day. With a base elevation at 12,300' and a peak elevation at 13,300', Silverton is some of Colorado's best extreme skiing. For a less intense ski, visit Kendall Mountain Recreation Area known as "The Cheapest Ski area in the West." During the summer, take a ride on the "highest summer scenic chair life in North America." For those who love cheap thrills, take a trip down the "Hard Core" biking trail.
