Hunting Expeditions | Horseback Riding | Fishing Trips Ride into the sunset, with Capitol Peak Outfitters, Inc. (License #2231), riders of all experience levels can enjoy a full range of horseback riding adventures, fully guided hunting and fishing expeditions. All trips center on the remote Maroon Bells/Snowmass wilderness areas, with its 14,000 foot peaks, wildflowers, mountain lakes, and breathtaking panoramas. Our objective is to provide our clients the best possible service available. We specialize in personalized service, whether it be for families or custom group activities. Our guides are knowledgeable about the country, game, horses and needs of their clients. Hunting Expeditions: Drop Camp Hunts: Enjoy a 2-hour horseback ride to camp; equipment (pre set-up) includes wall tent with stove, cots, lanterns with fuel, cook gear, and cut firewood. You and your gear packed in and out, plus packing all game taken on your hunt. Camps in game management unit 43. Guided Hunts: Hunts are primarily by horseback into spectacular, remote country with abundant deer, elk, black bear and big horn sheep. You will find comfortable lodging in wall tents with wood burning stoves, and cots with foam pads. Western style meals are prepared. Meals include a hearty hot breakfast and dinner and cold lunches and snacks for the trail. Bookings allow for 8 hunters in each camp, to provide you with a quality service and memorable hunt. Horse Rental & Riding: We specialize in good horses for all riding levels from beginners to advanced with personalized service. We cater to family groups as well as large corporate parties. Private rides are available upon request. 2 hour Wilderness Rides: A great trip for families looking for a leisurely ride. Catch a glimpse of Mt. Sopris and the breathtaking Capital Valley with exceptional photo opportunities along the way. A great way to experience Colorado's wilderness and leave time for your other activities. 1/2 day and full day scenic horseback rides with lunch: These fun filled rides are for families and groups looking for a more backcountry experience, with tremendous scenery and wildlife viewing. Any of our rides can be complimented with fishing. Half days are generally 4 hours with a leisurely lunch stop along the way. Full days generally head to a high country lake or a remote wilderness destination. Full day rides usually last about 6-1/2 hours with a lunch stop along the way. Fishing Trips: 1/2 and full day fishing rides with lunch: Ride to a stream, lakes and beaver ponds with spectacular brook trout and cutthroats.
